1/31/2024 0 Comments Pixel 3xl total war attilaYou can really break it down into some distinct games within the game:. I guess I'll give Rome 2 a shot again since it seems to have some similar mechanics and at least that made more sense to me. I even read/watched some playthroughs and people in the WRE would literally go "ok I'm abandoning this northern settlement on turn one so I don't have to deal with the squalor/barbarians taking it over" or whatever.Īnyways, I always enjoyed TW games but its going in a direction that's kind of tough for me to enjoy. And then the buildings, there are so many buildings I don't know what is best to build and why I would want to build them. I couldn't even find the button to have a governor issue edicts. For the first time ever I read the "beginner's guide" on the TW forum ( I think published by creative assembly), and it sounded cool but when it came to actually playing the game it made no sense. With Attila, I'm at a total fucking loss. I liked in Shogun 2 and Rome 1 being able to just get on, play a couple turns, build up some armies and have some sweet battles. I work 40 hours a week and also am taking 18 semester hours at a local university. Admittedly, this is totally a personal thing. However, for someone like me who is just a filthy casual, Attila just has too steep a learning curve. They say it's more "immersive" and has complexity none of the previous TW games had. Ok, from my brief research into this topic it seems like there are quite a few players who really like how complicated Attila is. Think we missed one?
